The Hospital Cash Plan provides protection against unexpected hospitalization costs.
It pays a pre-determined sum of money for each full day spent in hospital by a member or his/her registered dependents once the hospital stay exceeds 48 hours.
The daily hospital benefit can be used to:
Pay hospital bills
Pay medical aid shortfalls
Purchase medication or drugs
Provide income to the family during hospitalization of the Principal Member.
A member is allowed to register up to eight dependents. Dependents can be registered at any time.
The Policy has a waiting period of three months which is not applicable on hospitalization happening through an accident.
A member can select the required daily hospital benefit for himself/herself and the registered dependents.
