Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the positions of REGIONAL SALES MANAGERS- SOUTHERN & NORTHERN REGIONS, which have arisen within the Individual Life Sales Department at ZB Life Assurance. The successful applicants will respectively preside over the Southern and Northern geographical regions of the country.




Purpose of the Job


  • To lead Field Managers in the Region in procuring Individual Life business and servicing existing clients in line with Company standards.


Person Specifications


  • A Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Management, or an equivalent qualification
  • Degree or Diploma in Insurance will be an added advantage
  • Certificate of Proficiency
  • Sales Management experience of at least 5 years
  • Aged between 30 to 50 years
  • Self motivated and a passion for results



The Job Entails:


  • Crafting and implementing the region’s marketing plan in accordance with the Company’s strategic plan as it pertains to Individual Life business.
  • Writing Individual Life business for own account
  • Managing and monitoring Field Managers to ensure that set targets for the region, i.e. productivity levels and viability, are achieved and taking corrective action where necessary.
  • In consultation with Field Managers, compiling the region’s budget in respect of new business acquisition, premium income receipts and related budget items that will feed into the Company’s overall budget.
  • Searching for and identifying sales opportunities in the region and directing Field Managers to exploit identified opportunities.
  • Managing and accountable for the recruitment and training of Agents, Field Managers and Administration Support Staff within the region.
  • Enforcing compliance with the provisions of the Agency Contract and Code of Conduct by Field Managers and Agents in the region.
  • Scanning the environment for new economic developments and opportunities
  • Maintaining sound and favorable Public Relations between the Company and communities within the Region
